A free, leaderless Friday-night gathering in Pritchard Park where locals and visitors build a shared groove with hand drums and percussion. People can join by drumming, dancing or moving with the crowd, so participation does not depend on formal instruction or membership.
What began with about ten drummers grew into a warm-season community tradition that can draw hundreds of participants into downtown Asheville.
