AVIS Milano
Milan·Italyest. 1927
The Milan branch of Italy's voluntary blood-donor association organizes unpaid donors, promotes regular donation and supports blood collection with local health partners. Members share a civic identity built around returning to donate and recruiting the next generation of donors.
AVIS began in Milan in 1927 when physician Vittorio Formentano's appeal brought together the association's first seventeen volunteer donors.
