Krewe of Iris
Founded in 1917 and first paraded in 1959, Iris is the oldest and largest all-female Carnival krewe in New Orleans. Members wear white gloves and masks during the parade.

Founded in 2000, Muses is the all-female super-krewe known for its hand-decorated, glittered high-heel shoe throws and satirical floats. Parades Thursday night before Mardi Gras.
