New Amsterdam Singers
Manhattan·New York·United Statesest. 1968
Long-running New York avocational chorus performing serious repertoire at a high amateur standard. Weekly rehearsals and seasonal concerts form a stable singer community that is neither a church choir nor a paid professional ensemble.
The serious amateur chorus: dues, discipline and belonging for people who want more than a singalong and less than a career.
