Quantico Orienteering Club

Washington, DC region·United Statesest. 1967

A volunteer-run Mid-Atlantic club that organizes map-and-compass events for runners and hikers across regional parks. Beginners can learn at public meets, while experienced members design courses, make maps, time participants and teach the navigation skills that keep the calendar running.

The club began at Marine Corps Base Quantico, opened to the surrounding community in 1970 and became an independent nonprofit while retaining its original name.
