Washington Ringing Society
A multigenerational society devoted to English change ringing at Washington National Cathedral and the Old Post Office Tower. Members practice in the towers each week, ring for services and civic occasions, and train newcomers through an intensive class followed by regular band practice.
Its members range from teenagers to people in their eighties, linked by the sustained study and precise cooperation needed to control a shared sequence of bells.
