501st Legion
International·Globalest. 1997
A worldwide volunteer costuming organization whose members build screen-accurate Star Wars villain costumes and appear together at conventions, civic events and charity visits. Local garrisons review costumes, coordinate appearances and give members a recurring troop calendar rather than treating each build as a solitary project.
The fan-run Legion links detailed costume standards with organized public service, using its recognizable characters to support fundraising and community causes.
