El-Funoun Palestinian Popular Dance Troupe
Al-Bireh·Palestineest. 1979
A volunteer-based dance company that develops Palestinian folkloric and contemporary performance, including dabke, through a large multigenerational community. Experienced dancers train younger members while the troupe carries shared music, movement and cultural memory onto local and international stages.
Its Bara'em youth group, founded in 1986, creates a continuing path for children to learn from the troupe and grow into its main performing community.
