Edge City. Cohort of pop-up villages (Esmeralda, Lanna, Patagonia)

Pop-up city operator / network of villages · Northern California, Chiang Mai (Thailand), Patagonia (Argentina/Chile) · 2024-2026

Edge City spun out of Zuzalu/ZuConnect and runs serial month-long villages in different geographies, each branded around the host place's identity. Edge Esmeralda (Healdsburg, CA), Edge City Lanna (Chiang Mai), Edge City Patagonia. The company became cash-flow positive in 2024.

Areas compete

Edge City explicitly compares villages on attendee experience, ACO (accelerated coordination output), and innovation outcomes; each location is judged against the others on retention, NPS, builder output.

People support each other

Inside each village, residents self-organize tracks (ZK research, longevity, AI safety) and share housing; the small scale (200-500 people) forces tight neighborhood-style coordination for a month.

Why this is worth knowing

Closest thing to a franchised 'neighborhood league' in Web3. Each village competes for talent + reputation in the cohort while binding its own residents into a temporary tribe.
