Friends With Benefits. City Keys & Event Keys
Token-gated social DAO with a 'City Keys' grant program that funds regional in-person gatherings, plus 'Event Keys' that let any member spin up a local meetup with treasury support. Discord has restricted regional sub-channels per city.
City chapters apply for and report on City Keys budgets. Chapters with stronger attendance/output get bigger budgets next round, an effective ranking. NYC, LA, London, Lagos publicly compete for chapter prestige.
Inside each city, members run IRL events (parties, art shows, residencies) using shared treasury funds, plus restricted Discord regional channels for ongoing coordination.
Concrete worked example of a DAO that mapped its global membership onto named city chapters with explicit budgets. Directly relevant to a BelongHub-style catalog of place-based community groups.
